Paladin worked directly for Favor’s construction team, and successfully completed the installation of over 1,200 CAT-6 cables, two server rooms, fiber backbones within a roughly 81k square foot space. Work was completed under an extremely aggressive timeline with zero delays to construction by Paladin.
The Eastside Tech Hub is the retailer’s state-of-the-art East Austin office for its growing team of H-E-B Digital Partners (employees), as well as the new headquarters for Favor, the Austin-based on-demand delivery company that is a wholly-owned subsidiary of H-E-B. Complementing its existing H-E-B Digital team at H-E-B’s headquarters in San Antonio, the Eastside Tech Hub further accelerates the retailer’s path toward becoming the digital industry leader in Texas
The modern office boasts a coffee bar featuring local roasteries, a lounge area, a large events space and a wellness center featuring a rock-climbing wall, curated fitness classes, bike parking and showers. The new workspace celebrates the unique identities of both H-E-B and Favor as well as their shared Texas heritage, and includes meeting rooms named after H-E-B brand products, famous personal assistants from popular culture — a nod to Favor’s Runners — and Texas landmarks and cities.
